And the Survey Says...

The ICN recently conducted a survey asking constituents for feedback on ICN service, support, and future service offerings. Over 5,000 constituents were invited to participate in the survey and approximately 924 (17%) were returned. The results are in and following are a few highlights. Congratulations to the two winners of the Handspring Treo organizers, Derrick O'Gama of Romeoville and Lynnette Sawyer of Winnebago.

• 924 constituents completed the survey with the majority (54%) from K-12 schools
• SPAM filtering, security scanning, off-site storage, and antivirus were the services constituents most wanted to see the ICN offer
• 57% of respondents use the ICN for mission critical applications
• Constituents use the ICN primarily for e-mail (97%), general web surfing (95%), research (82%), file transfer (74%), and online education (70%)
• 81% report they have adequate bandwidth and 72% do not internally restrict bandwidth
• 86% are satisfied or very satisfied with the quality of service from their Regional Technology Center
