The ICN is now offering discounted pricing for anti-virus software from Panda and Symantec. Last year, the ICN released a survey to its constituents regarding services that the ICN could provide. One of the top issues noted in this survey was virus related problems and the problem continues to grow with new viruses threatening networks every day.

The ICN released a Request for Proposal (RFP) last year with the goal of establishing master contract pricing for anti-virus products. Proposals were received from several interested vendors. All vendor products underwent rigorous testing by ICN technical staff before selecting a winner. Panda and Symantec were chosen based on RFP response, lab based evaluations, and pricing.

Constituents will work directly with the vendors (Panda and Zones, a Symantec reseller) to purchase the solution that best meets their individual site’s needs. State agencies will follow their standard procurement procedures. Pricing is available for education, government and corporate sites in a variety of different configurations.
